   You should not be able to win a fight just by counterpunching. That's very tough to do. Pacquio was walking through whatever Marquez landed. He forced the fight, not Marquez, who really screwed up by not being aggressive in anyway during the last two rounds. Also a lot of JMM's punches we countered with were arm punches with little leverage as he was going backwards /on his heels. Close fight but you really have to take the belt away from the champ and Marquez did not do so convincingly enough.
   Look at Marquez's face after the fight. Manny's punches did more damage.

   Manny is a great fighter but like many great fighters he has difficulty with one particular fighter. In this case its Marquez. Marquez got his number as they say. No you don't have to knock out the champ to win. This will be a major problem for Pacman against Mayweather as well as a big money maker. Which is another reason why Manny got the nod instead of Marquez.
   
   After Manny retires there will be no more Philipino Champions like Manny. He is one in a million. Maybe in the next 100 years from now.

   Pac is the champ and he is the aggressor during the fight. jmm only waits pac to throw some punch so he can throw his counters. and that's not how to beat a champ. in boxing, the aggressor is almost always given an extra point.
   
   plus, the decision is so close that some rounds can go either way. the problem is, we only watched it on tv while the judges are at ringside. and they have a better view than us. i had it 115-113 for pac so its just a 1 round difference, if i had given jmm 2 more rounds the he should have won. that's just how close it is.

   Being sincere in my opinion since i am a fan of both i can clearly see Marquez won the fight. throughout the fight pacman seemed out of it due to marquez skills with the counter.
   only possible way for marquez to have won would have to have been something so clear like a knockout.
   obvious reason for the fight going pacmans way was that a loss to marquez would eliminate any remaining chance of mayweather vs pac happening.

   Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. First I'm a Filipino and one would say, I'm bias towards Pacquiao. And I would'nt say I'm not...but here is my simple analogy: If one would asked, who will win in a race between a jeep (Manny) vs a ...let's say a Ferrari, a lamborghini or a posche (in this case those past opponents of Manny) most would probably pick those exotic supercars...right....not always...in a paved highway yes...but what about in an extreme offroad environment.Those supercars, no matter how much power and speed they have, they still would lose. But what about if you pit the jeep vs let's say a subaru, not just a subaru but a modified one (in relation to the discipline and training of Marquez in this fight)then a subaru can stand a chance.Meaning to say Manny met someone who can keep up with him on his own playground. Boxing can sometime be a VISUAL experience not just STATISTICS. And that explained why many is saying Marquez should have won. I think Manny Pacquiao's HAIR add to the visual effectiveness of Marquez punches on him. If you have a longer hair and its wet with sweat and you got hit with a punch, even though it's not as DAMAGING as it might seems, it adds to the visual experience and drama to the punch. That is what most hollywood movies do. Seeing is not always believing...I'm sure everybody seen a magic trick. Is it real no....In a very, very, very close fight like this. If I would judge who is the winner sometime it's nice to know that there is this computer and software program called COMPUBOX. That would help me ACCURATELY decide who won. Statistically speaking...and my fellow bloggers in all the different forums you guys are visiting. It tells only one story. STATISTICALLY speaking Manny Pacquiao won. VISUALLY...may or may not be a different story. My advice to Manny...loose the hair when you fight Mayweather. Cause if the fight will end up the same thing as this one.    Marquez should have fight more aggressively because he is the challenger not in a defensive style. To prove that he is a better fighter in the ring he must at least score a knock out punch before he can claim and convince the people that he won the fight.Naturally, the judges will render decision in favor of Manny because the fight, as I see it was just in exchanging blows between the two of them... so Manny should retain his title. The decision is just fair enough!

   In boxing its not just about throwing a lot of punch its about throwing punches that would make the damage. Indeed marquez threw a lot of hard punuch but if you look at it closely most of it landed on either the gloves or elbows of Paquiao. The cut on Paquiao's fight is caused by a head but in the middle round. At the end of the fight look whose face is messed up, its JMM. Paquiao win the fight with aggression, precision and hard hitting punches. The problem is that JMM just cant accept that he lost 3 times, He pride is beyond reach. He is indeed in the history of boxing the champion of unreasonable Pride and boastfulness.

   JMM is blinded by his ego and pride. In the first match, he was grounded 3 times, 1 judge admitted that he was not aware the he could give a score of 10-6 as the other judges did, its a rule when a boxer goes down 3 times or more in a same round, should that score was given the fight was won by paquiao not a draw. the second match, paquiao is on the chase hitting JMM hardly and sending him once on the ground. and on the recent fight, game is still the same paquiao going after marquez. JMM boxed a lot but paquiao did the better damage. JMM has to go back to the mountains and study humility and sportmanship. Fighters like him has no place in the arena of warriors and gettlemen.
