The Post-Fight press session was full of verbal exchanges. Marquez Team believed they won the fight and demanded an immediate rematch. Pacquiao's promoter, Top Rank's Bob Arum, and Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer got into a number of verbal angry match, before the new champ arrived.

When Manny Pacquiao gave his speech he combined the words from his previous interview with Larry Merchant and pre-fight press conference, which proves that no only did Manny improve his boxing skills, but his fluency in English as well.

"Good evening, everybody. First, uhm, thanks to the lord, for giving me this another victory, and uhm, for giving me the strength tonight. And thank you to all of you uh, for being here tonight to support us. And uhm, thank you to all the fans, especially the promoter, Bob Arum, and Golden Boy promotion. And uhm, I would like to uhm, thank to my Team Pacquiao, especially my trainer, coach Freddie. And uhm, I would like to thank Marquez camp, Marquez team for uhm, for giving me uh, a hard fight tonight. And I hope, you enjoyed, you really enjoyed the fight tonight, and you know, really, really hard. Thank you very much to all of you and I hope you continue to support us."

"He's a really good fighter tonight, and he has a lot of improvement especially he's a counter-puncher, his counter-punch, and, and I really, really, it's really, really hard fighter."

"When I suffered a cut, there's nothing to put in my mind that I quit, to knock me out and you win. But I'm still fighting until the 12 rounds."

"Well, when the first, when I knock him down, the knock down, you know, uh, it's uh h, I think I'm lucky to hit the uhm, left hand. I'm not really aggressive because he's a good counter-puncher, my strategy is to counter-punch back to him, and you know, and I'm very surprise with his style tonight. His moving head, a lot of head movement. And uhm, his jab, not like before in the first fight."

"Yeah, the 11th round and 12th round, I didn't see his punches but, you know, I'm still uhm, keep on fighting to give the, I had to win the last two rounds, because if I lose the last two rounds, you know, I'm losing the points. So i need to win the last two rounds, so keep on punching, even I didn't see where he go."

"Well, I'm actually, honest you guys, Marquez he has a power, but I can handle his power, that's why, I'm very confident in that 2nd round. And uh, but I'm still uh, careful of the fight because you know, his style, his counter-punching."
