Almost as soon as the final bell rang of Juan Diaz vs Julio Diaz was over, Juan Diaz said he still wants to fight Manny Pacquiao, in an interview that echoes his April interview.

Will Pacquiao move up from 130 to 135 pounds? And if he does, will he fight WBC lightweight champion Juan Diaz? Promoter Don King and Juan Diaz prefer Pacquiao, who beat Marco Antonio Barrera into retirement the previous week.

"I'd like to show my talents against a fighter of his skills," Juan Diaz said. "Pacquiao just fought an older Mexican warrior. Now, he ought to fight a young Mexican warrior like me."

Manny Pacquiao Replied

“If the price is right,” said the Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao announced plans to ascend to the 135-pound ranks after a clinical 12-round dismantling of Mexican Marco Antonio Barrera in a super featherweight bout early this month.

Pacquiao, however, had earlier said he wanted to face David Diaz before stepping back into the super featherweight ranks to challenge 130-pound king Juan Manual Marquez.

But Juan Diaz feels he should be the one to induct the Filipino into the lightweight ranks.

Juan Diaz has speed. But he doesn't have power. And you can tell when he gets tired. He slows down a lot. I don't think Diaz can beat Pacman. Pacman has speed and power which will take down Juan Diaz easily. But I'm sure Diaz will not give up easily though.
