Bob Arum of Top Rank: We have two guys who feel that the three fights they have been inconclusive. Each of them would like demonstrate his superiority in a big way.

Greg Bishop of New York Times: You look at these fighters, and sometimes you have a second or third fight. But really rarely does it reach a level that it has really needed a fourth. I think this guys has been so close throughout their first three, it makes it compelling to watch them fight yet again.

Jaime Motta of Univision Deportes: This is it there is no tomorrow for either one, and they want to leave a mark, and they want to make sure that everyone that they’re better than the other one.

Here, he is like in some 50 something fights in his career and he is going to reinvent himself and try a new strategy, to be as aggressive as possible, to try to end this with a definitive knockout. I mean to me that’s got to be really dangerous for him. He wasn’t been able to really, really hurt Marquez at least in the last fights. It will be interesting to see if by pressing if he can earn that knockout.

Todd duBoef, Top Rank: I think Manny shows his incredible times of explosiveness of power and of mastery. And then at the other times you could see that Marquez gets him thinking, gets him a little hesitant ‘cause he’s a wonderful counterpuncher. So I think Manny has really got to assert his will the whole time for whole 12 rounds and not give Marquez that ability to counterpunch him,”

Jaime Motta of Univision Deportes: Whoever loses there does going to be pretty much a taint at the end of their career. A lot of people may already consider that well maybe they are not that good as they were. Both of these guys have had exceptional careers. A lost here would seem as if they weren’t as good a fighter as they really had been.

Bernado Osuna of ESPN: I think the pressure now is on Manny. ‘Cause he got to have a knockout. He got to look good. He got to be definitive.
