Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 Los Angeles Press Conference

The best and most popular boxer in the world today Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and four-time world champion Juan Manuel Marquez made it official today at Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California that the fourth bout will take place on December 8 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The fight that will be promoted by Top Rank in association with MP Promotions, Zanfer Promotions, Tecate and MGM Grand in Las Vegas will be televised live via PPV on HBO Pay-Per-View from the Grand Garden Arena.

"I'm sure I won the three fights and so going to do a fourth fight to dispel any doubts that still remain in our own mind, the mind of the fans and the press. I'm sure this will be a great fight as they were the first three," said Pacquiao, who won eight championships in the same number of divisions.

The first three fights resulted in a draw and two wins controversial for the Filipino star.

"I'm sure I won all three decidedly. The first, the second by one or two points and the third was the most clear win by three or four points, but the judges did not want to give my triumph and be satisfied, until after the fight I raise my hand in the middle of the ring," said Marquez, the current king of the WBO Jr. Welterweight title.

The fight is scheduled 12 rounds at welterweight.

"We know that to beat Marquez, I’m going to need to be one hundred percent and I will be working very hard with Freddie Roach, and be better in all aspects to beat him decidedly once and for all," said Pacquiao.

Marquez was confident and surprised to receive this opportunity.

"I honestly did not think that he would accept a fight with me, but I am very happy to receive it and now I have to prove. I have to make some changes in strategy and preparation, but I will leave that to Nacho Beristain, as I am sure he will give me the plan to beat Pacquiao," Marquez said.

The three-city tour will continue on Wednesday in New York and then finish on Friday in Mexico City. On Wednesday will be in the Edison Ballroom at 11:00 am and Friday will be in the new Arena Mexico the same time and will be open to the public.
