Floyd Mayweather vs Ortiz Post Fight Interview by Larry Merchant - The interview with Larry Merchant after the fight was short and amusing. Here's the transcript:

Larry Merchant: You Took shots at him unfairly after you went together in the ring, made up for the headbutt, and then you poked. What's your story?

Floyd Mayweather: First of all I want to thank God for this victory. Without God this wouldn't be possible. I want to thank my team. I got hit with a dirty shot, and it's protect yourself at all time. I hit him with my right hand and that ended the bout.

Larry Merchant: So you're saying that even though it appear that he wasn't protecting himself, and thought that was part of the ceremony that you we're going through of apology, that you unfairly took advantage of him. What do you say to those who say: "Why'd you do that? You were winning the fight, you're in charge."

Floyd Mayweather: I just want to say to everybody that to those who bought the pay per view, that came to Las Vegas, thank you.

Larry Merchant: You know you're a promoter, but now we're talking to a prizefighter. Let's take a look at what happens at the end of the fight, and you describe it.

Floyd Mayweather: We touch gloves, we back to fight, hook, right hand, and that's all she wrote.

Larry Merchant: So for you, it was just an automatic response, let's get on with the fight.

Floyd Mayweather: It's protect yourself at all times. He did something dirty. We're not here to cry what he did dirty, or what I did dirty. I was victorious, if he wants a rematch, he can get a rematch.

Larry Merchant: You were in charge of the fight, you were aggressive, and taking advantage of what you saw as default.

Larry Merchant: What are you talking about.

    Ortiz did something wrong and for his mistake the referee punished him.
    Mayweather acted like a tricky gipsy: he didn’t finish kissing and he’s been dubbing Ortiz’s ribs with the dagger! Judah!
    After all he did not need to proceed like this: he was winning!
    If I were Mayweather I would punish Ortiz till the end of the final round. Till Ortiz would have frog eyes! But not like this!
    If I were Larry Merchant I would asking the judge where was he looking?! Because he did not see what was happening in the ring! He was talking with a judge seat!

    Mayweather won 42 times, but very stategically timed the fights to his advantage (gayweather is obviously waiting for pacman to start losing; only then will he step up).     Technically it was legal what mayweather did but it was still a sucker punch.... Victor ortiz also using a headbutt was a cheap shot but ortiz was punished for it and tried to apologize to floyd... All i can say is that it is evident that floyd cant knock out out a true welterweight with a clean shot. So stop dodging the pound for pound champ and fight pacman.
