Manny Pacquiao vs Joshua Clottey Dallas Cowboy Stadium Ticket Prices - The ring will be right over the star, the screen will be right over the ring, and around the world no one will be able to get over Cowboys Stadium.

Upwards of two billion international viewers could tune in to the March 13 WBO welterweight title fight between Manny Pacquiao and Joshua Clottey, which the boxers announced Tuesday from the stadium's playing surface, alongside Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and Top Rank promoter Bob Arum.

The event will be broadcast in the United States on HBO Pay-Per-View, but will air free of charge across much of the world. Seating configurations inside the stadium are expected to hold 40,000 live spectators. Jones said the global audience is good for the fight, good for the sport, and good for the Cowboys and their world-class attraction.

"That visibility is important to our stadium," Jones said. "To educate sports fans around the world, because that lifts all boats . . . that's my philosophy, to have it in here so that it can grow the prestige and just the stature of the other events."

Jones, a fight fan who said he had been to some 20 championship bouts over the years, including Ali-Spinks and Hagler-Hearns, would like to make Cowboys Stadium one of the premier venues for boxing. Pacquiao-Clottey is the first of what Jones hopes will be many big-name matches underneath the world's largest high-definition screen.

"Those are a little bit like major concert events - as I see them, it's as the opportunity arises," Jones said of his future efforts to bring boxing to Arlington. "I believe this is an example to our constituency, everybody involved with our stadium, how we're going to not just have a beautiful stadium, but we're going to have some of the great sporting events and competitions in the world. This is an example of that. I wanted this fight here because Pacquiao is involved, and I wanted to really show that we mean business about having top sporting events."

Billed Tuesday as a world figure, Pacquiao is an icon in his native Philippines. Ranked the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in the sport by ESPN.com and The Ring Magazine, he is 50-3-2 in his career, with 38 wins by knockout. The former welterweight champion Clottey, born in Ghana, is 35-3 as a professional, with 21 knockouts.

Both fighters said they are excited for the opportunity to perform inside the world's finest sports venue. Tuesday's announcement ended with the two donning Cowboys jerseys, and Pacquiao trying on one of Jones' Super Bowl rings.

"I feel like I'm a football player," Pacquiao said. "I'd like to thank Jerry Jones for giving us a chance to fight here in Dallas. This is my first time to come here, so I'm very glad and happy."

Jones, who originally attempted to bring a proposed fight between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. to Cowboys Stadium, was more than pleased to still bring in boxing's top draw, Pacquiao.

Tickets will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. (CST) at the Cowboys Stadium box office in Arlington, or through Ticketmaster.

"A lot of our fans certainly would want to be a part of the first professional boxing match in this stadium," Jones said. "It's going to make some history here to have that fight, and we're going to make the most out of it."
