Cotto with a STIFF jab to start. Pacquiao felt that. Nice quick jab from Pacquiao now. Another jab from Cotto. Cotto backs him down a bit. Manny with a left, more diversionary than anything it seemed. Cotto short on a 1-2. Left to the body by Cotto. Pacquiao way more tentative than his last three fights for sure. He knows who he’s fighting.

Pacquiao’s left is blocked. Cotto really coming him with the jab, then a GREAT show of speed by Cotto on a combo, though mostly blocked. Both guys know who they’re against. That’s the best I can describe it. This is TENSE.

They tie up at center ring as Cotto throws. Left hook to the body by Cotto. Cotto charges at the end.

Pacquiao short on his own 1-2 to start the round. Cotto throwing from the sides, not landing. Both guys are just THAT far from a big blow, but both are so good that they can make the other man miss. Left to the body by Cotto, Cotto defends against Pacquiao and lands a straight right. Cotto with another SHARP jab. That jab is the difference-maker so far. Manny throws three, all blocked. BIG shot by Pacquiao and here he goes! He got him! Right hook lands! Cotto with a body shot just before it! Body shot again by Cotto!

LEFT HOOK COTTO! Wham! HERE WE GO! Right to the body by Cotto, maybe a smidge low on the belt line. Three lefts from Pacquiao, one lands. Pacquiao blocks the body shots. This is getting tactical now, and very exciting. BODY SHOT PACQUIAO! Flurry by Pacquiao gets in! Right hook lands! Pacquiao is really starting to move in there. Cotto batters away at Pac’s guard. Right by Cotto, mostly blocked. Miguel jabbing now. Jab by Manny. Left by Manny is just short. Pacquiao throwing AND DOWN GOES COTTO! RIGHT HOOK GOT HIM! He is SO FAST!

Cotto doesn’t seem hurt, he just lost his balance and got caught at the right time. COTTO COMING AT HIM! Cotto has gone southpaw. Back conventional. Pacquiao with a body shot, Cotto with a NASTY left to the body. Pac’s right hook is working, Cotto drills to the body. Body shot Pacquiao, Cotto feels there was a butt and there was. No blood.

Pacquiao has found his timing and his distance, but now here comes Miguel with some good shots in the first minute of the fourth round. Body shot by Manny. And another. Pacquiao in and out with great stuff now. Right to the body, left upstairs by Cotto. Now they both let go!

Cotto getting Manny to fight in close. Good body shot and great shots by Manny! Cotto’s hurt! HERE THEY GO! HERE THEY GO! HERE THEY GO! OH MAN!

Right to the chin by Cotto. Pacquiao using his speed again as the first minute of the round ends, and starting to take the pace. Cotto caught again! Right hook Manny! Pacquiao is taking over.

Right to the body by Miguel. Pacquiao on the ropes, guard up, and Cotto backs off. Cotto gets low and makes Manny miss. There’s a nice shot inside by Cotto with the right hand. He just hasn’t been able to catch Manny clean enough, and Manny is no doubt acquitting himself at this weight. Two more pounds would make no difference, I don’t think. He is an incredible fighter.

BIG uppercut by Cotto! LEFT HAND PACQUIAO SHAKEN! They end the round throwing. I think Cotto landed the best shots of a tight round.

Pacquiao pressing the action now. Nice left by Manny. This is everything I thought it would be. HUGE RIGHT HOOK BY MANNY, and Miguel takes it well! Manny pressing now, but a left hook from Cotto lands.

Cotto has gone southpaw, back to right-handed and he gets caught. Cotto hurt again perhaps. Manny is wearing him down with speed and power. Anyone questioning his power at this weight anymore?

BIG left by Cotto, and Pacquiao absorbs it. Nice flurry by Pacquiao, and he gets some more good shots in. A minute left in the round, or a little under actually. Pacquiao trying to jab the guard down. This has been a big round for Manny Pacquiao.

COTTO HURT AGAIN AND MANNY IS FIRING AWAY, BUT MIGUEL CLINCHES AND STARTS FIRING BACK! BIG SHOTS BY MIGUEL LANDING! BELL SOUNDS!

Miguel is swelling up pretty big.

GREAT right hook by Pacquiao, and now he’s teeing off! Miguel’s in trouble. Manny throwing, Miguel cutting him off as best he can. BIG SHOTS FROM MANNY! Honestly, I thought Miguel was going down there. Sometimes he takes the shots very well. Manny gets clipped with a huge left hook.

Body shot by Miguel. Uppercut by Pacquiao! Cotto stung again. He’s getting beaten up a bit. Cotto has no idea how to get at this guy, and Miguel Cotto LOOKS GOOD TONIGHT. This is a master class performance by Manny Pacquiao. Wonderful boxing.

Pacquiao is owning this round with 30 seconds left. Miguel needs to accept that he needs to knock this guy out. He can’t outbox him. He’s not fast enough. Stiff jab by Cotto, but a clear Pacquiao round.

Manny continuing to own the ring now. Miguel is desperately searching for a way to break him down. You can see his gears turning in there. He’s looking everywhere for an in, and just not finding it yet.

They keep doing this “big man / little man” shit. The two look quite similar size-wise even tonight.

Cotto is hurt again. Miguel is running, looking for anything he can find, but he’s retreating. He’s on his bike trying to catch him. Cotto just hit him hard with a left, but Pacquiao WALKED THROUGH IT. He just walked through that.

Right hand potshot by Miguel. BIG TRADE ON THE ROPES! Manny misses a huge left. Cotto is clearly now trying to catch Manny coming in. He’s been just short a couple times.

Lampley is talking about pulling Cotto out. Way too premature for that, IMO. I mean come on. He was worse off against Clottey, frankly. Pacquiao’s beating him, but it’s not absurd.

Cotto retreating, trying to time him, and can’t. Cotto in the corner, MANNY UNLOADING, and Cotto clinches up. Miguel’s in trouble as Manny just swings his arms wild all over the place. He’s going for it now. He thinks he has him beaten.

Left hand from Manny! And here he goes! Miguel swelling up, bleeding, CAUGHT HUGE! Cotto is finished. Pacquiao is now dominating.

HUGE LEFT BY COTTO, but Manny WALKS THROUGH IT AGAIN! He’s unreal.

Pacquiao is starting to really dominate. NOW they might want to considering getting Miguel out. He’s running and doing nothing. A few potshots here and there. That’s it. He’s getting killed now.

Cotto is coming at him now. Harold says they should stop it. Larry disagrees. I disagree too if he’s going to fight. Combo from Cotto, mostly blocked by Manny. Miguel is actually boxing this round, throwing a few punches, actually doing something again. Last round I thought it was fine to stop it. But if he’s going to fight, he should fight. He’s a world class fighter.

Manny with some sniper shots with about 30 seconds left. Cotto is backing off again. He’s just not throwing. He’s afraid to get caught in a firefight now. And Manny lays the pressure on, and Miguel moves out again. Big shot Manny.

They’re talking Pacquiao-Mayweather in the first minute of this round.

Pacquiao unloading on Miguel and beating him up in the corner. Bayless has a close eye on it. Cotto is getting hammered now. Round is half over. Cotto is 95% done.

Miguel is just staying away from him, and it seems like Pacquiao doesn’t want to keep beating him up. I’m serious. It seems like Pacquiao is at times laying off of him. Cotto is running — flat out running.
