   I think that this fight is another money making scam from the Delahoya camp. He should have faught Magarita. He picked a much smaller guy. When he faught MayWeather it was nothing more than a high paid sparing match. I hope he get's surprised and loses so he can stop ripping off boxing fans. Delahoya became more like a politician fighter than the fighter he once was.He cannot afford to lose.

   I agree with the last comment. I really think it was a scam. De la hoya barely even put up a fight. I mean, you could even count the number of punches that he threw which was about a handful compared those thrown by Pacquiao. Nevertheless, i still enjoyed watching pacman win, afterall, im a Filipino

   Yeah, Oscar De La Hoya was just scared to fight Margarito... He chose a smaller opponent because he thought it was a low risk match-up. Boy, Oscar must regret his choice. 6th loss for De La Hoya. He should have left the sport when he was still at his peak. His legacy would have looked a lot better. The same goes for Barrera... Now, he's just looked upon as some "Has Been". ... I just have to add how Pacquiao looked really good at 147. The same weight that he fought David Diaz with. He really should stay at that weight class.

   Pacquiao is a great fighter and he never failed to impress me. However, i think that his fight with dela Hoya is fixed. It will not require an expert in boxing to conclude that the fight is a mismatch. During the fight, there is no question that Manny landed clean shots which battered the face of dela Hoya. However, non of those shots wobbled dela Hoya,then why on earth he suddenly weakend or pretended to weaken in round 7, in which round he just let pacquiao fire at him barrage of punches..he did not put up a fight which is contrary to his claim during all the media hype prior to the fight that he already developed his speed stamina and power punch. He was very flat during the fight, he did not exert much to chase pacquiao or to cut the ring...he was like an ordinary fighter...very much contrary to his claim that he was ready for pacquiao and contrary to his credential. Dela Hoya is a gladiator, he is a warrior inside the ring and i'v seen him fight hardhitting middleweights with relentless tenacity and i don't think that the power of pacquiao exceeds the power of natural middleweights and welterweight fighters that dela hoya fought in the past. Thus, there is no reason at all for his surprising surrender before the bell of the ninth round sounded. It is highly questinable, well his face was swollen but the question is did he wobble after absorbing the punch of Pacquiao? Dela Hoya's performance was not of a top-caliber fighter and a prepared fighter that he claimed he was. Well, pacquiao's performance was great, but he is not Mike Tyson that would make much bigger opponents like dela Hoya quit.

   the fight was a joke. money money money. thats all oscar was thinking and hbo 24/7 fooled us thinking that oscar still had it, is in great shape. they fooled everyone with his last big fight with mayweather. they played with eachother and after 12 rounds they both hugged and both smiled like they were best friends. best friends who made so much money. same with this fight. pacman is good but he needs to fight better fighters and not these washed up guys. he's becoming a de la hoya, business man, fights washed up legends just to make the big bucks cuz of their names. so sad. fight some good young prime time fighters so that we can actually enjoy your fights.

   i dont believe it was a fixed fight as many were suggesting. if there is going to be a rematch who's gonna watch it ? after a horrible one lopsided fight i ain't gonna spend a dime for the rematch ... so how are they going to raise the money ? sponsors will surely shy away. the truth is oscar's age have betrayed him. he was just outclassed by a younger, better, quicker, hard working, hungrier boxer. this is the reality in sport"s AGE DOES MATTER.

   yes dela hoya is approaching retirement that is why he is grooming someone to replace him at his current high profile pay per view status.. and he sees that in manny pacquiao as the best pound for pound fighter to date. And because manny pacquiao "defeated" him the next manny pacquio fight, with all the promotions and media mileage and everything, will be a hit in audience attendance and pay per view. So even if he is already retired he can still draw income from future pacquiao fights as promoter or co-promoter with Mr. Arum. Hey, com'on when dela hoya quit he was not gasping for air or in some kind of trouble and neither was he suffering a cut and take note since round one he was not relentless in pursuing the smaller pacquiao, he simply does not have the desire to win the fight his attitude inside the right was a complete opposite with what he has been blabbing during fight promotions..compare it with past dela hoya fights.
